The North American F-100 Super Sabre served in the USAF and the Air National Guard. It was a formidable fighter jet in its time but was eventually replaced by the Mach 2 class F-105 Thunderchief for use in Vietnam. Over 2000 of these jets were cons tructed between 1953 and 1959 and it has been used by the Turkish Chinese and French Air Forces as well.
